| To say it bluntly we're fucked guys... Hi all- Unless you've been living under a rock the last few hours you will have heard that there was a bit of chaos cause by an undetermined person greifing New Burlington. Places that have been hit that we know of as of now:
- Dylan's:
Tower (water/lava dammage) Capitol Building (destruction and torch removal Bunker (Water inside and lava on the outside) (Sorry Dylan looks like you got hit the hardest by this attack) - Kyle's:
Underwater house - Owen's:
Balloons (both) (wool removed/burned) - Jonathan's
Station (minor damage(rails/roof) 1 lapus from ship landing Wool from in front of Nether portal Airship Burned near WH (War Hub) - Mic's
Tower (lava dump) - Robert's:
House on the Hill 2 Lava fountains stolen from Aqueduct burned (thank's mathew for repairing) Underwater house - Paul's:
Tower (minor burn damage) - Mathew's:
Home The Chabot - Chad's:
Home - Other Dammage:
Sighs with "problem" written on them at sites of dammage Block letters written "GAY" on the frozen lake Some minor damage to wall designed to keep out mobs Diffrent rails had the track removed Please post anything else if you find some new other dammage...
This brings me to the reason for this forum post. I would like to propose two new mods, one will prevent you loosing any of your work by claiming an area as yours and not allowing anyone else access to build (or you can allow certain others to build biased on your settings) or you prevent people from entering an area entirely by forcing them out (all of these options can be turned on and off by paul)
The mod is called Residence... Here is the link: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/sec-mech-econ-residence-v2-3-1-self-serve-area-protection-system-buy-sell-land-economy-953.9358
The second mod is called Log Block. Log block is a mod that allows you to find out who changed, edited, burned, placed, removed ect... a block of any type. This mod also allows Paul to roll back any changes that either a single person has made, a group of people have made or allows him to undo edits biased on the time on a time this pretty much allow you to turn back the clock on just the greifed object allowing it to be fixed. Here is the link to Log Block: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/info-admin-logblock-v1-10-tool-modes-rollback-with-tools-find-those-damn-griefers-953.4543/
Paul said that he has tried adding these mods already and that they have created some null pointer errors (whatever that means) so hopefully these will be compatible sooner rather than later as this a problem that I never want repeated... (Took me three days to finish this sorry guys)

| The way I understand it, basically a java.lang.NullPointerException error means that Java can't find a required .class file. I'm not completely sure of this, but this along with a host of other errors regarding chunks can be caused by a world corruption or bad mods.

| I've noticed that many signs i posted up in my home are missing as well, along with some gate signs along the town. May have been fixed already
and i don't think you should have the Residence Mod, it seems that would cause unnecessary complications in needing to add people whenever someone new comes by or asks if they can edit something on one of your buildings. Plus I like having the world open to the public normally. I feel this grief was simply no one was on the server at the time so they just had a field day with it.
however i do agree with the second mod completely, that would be helpful.
